Изучение личности осужденных в исправительных учреждениях представляет собой одно из основных направлений воспитательной работы с ними. Знание личности осужденного, прежде всего, особенностей характера, интеллекта, темперамента и направленности личности имеет большое значение для выбора наиболее эффективных мер воспитательного воздействия. Обязанность изучения личности осужденных закреплена в законе. Часть 4 статьи 109 Уголовно-исполнительного кодекса Российской Федерации устанавливает, что «воспитательная работа с осужденными проводится с учетом индивидуальных особенностей личности и характера осужденных и обстоятельств совершенных ими преступлений». В статье рассматриваются некоторые вопросы, связанные с исправлением осужденных, организацией индивидуально-воспитательной работы с ними.
The study of a convict’s personality in correctional institutions is one of the main tasks of educational work with them. Knowledge of his personality, features of character, intelligence, temperament and orientation of the personality is of great importance for the choice of the most effective measures of educational influence. The duty to study convicted personality is enshrined in the law. Part 4 of article 109 of the Penal code of the Russian Federation establishes that “ed- ucational work with the condemned is carried out in accordance with individual features of their personality and character and circumstances of the crimes committed by them”. The article deals with some issues related to the correction of convicts, the organization of individual educational work with them.
