Abstract (English):
The article analyzes the theoretical, organizational and applied aspects of changing the conditions of serving a sentence of imprisonment for a certain period, formulated and scientifically substantiated proposals aimed at optimizing the legal regulation of public relations in the field of changing the conditions of detention of convicts in one correctional institution, as well as through their transfer to another institution. The relevance of the research is due to the fact that since the adoption of the current Penal Code of the Republic of Belarus and to date, there have been no comprehensive monographic studies on the institution of changing the conditions of serving a sentence of imprisonment for a certain period.
