Abstract (English):
The article analyzes various aspects of the implementation of the institution of movement of persons sentenced to imprisonment without escort or escort. An analysis of the official statistics of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for 2022 allows us to conclude that convicts who are granted the right to travel without escort or escort often commit offenses, which negatively affects the situation in correctional institutions. The quantitative distribution of convicts who have been granted the right to travel without escort or escort by types of correctional institutions, as well as the distribution of offenders, has been established. The analysis of the main prohibitions and restrictions that must be observed when deciding whether to grant this right to a person sentenced to imprisonment is carried out.
