Abstract (English):
On November 15, 2023, the Department of Penal Enforcement Law and the organization of educational work with Convicts of the Academy of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia within the framework of the VI International Penitentiary Forum «Crime, Punishment, Correction» held an international scientific and practical conference «Development of the system of punishments not related to the isolation of convicts from society. Introduction of the Institute of Probation in the Russian Federation». The features of the scientific event were a comprehensive discussion of numerous theoretical and applied issues of improving the effectiveness of the execution of criminal penalties, directions for the development of penitentiary, executive and post-penitentiary probation, as well as the presence of two insufficiently interconnected lines of influence implemented by institutions and bodies executing punishments (in the context of the correction of convicts and the use of various forms of probation), having a common goal in the form of prevention the commission of new crimes.
