Abstract (English):
Corruption, taking into account its qualitative and quantitative characteristics, is one of the main threats to the national security of the Russian Federation. The article demonstrates examples of corrupt behavior on the part of officials over the past ten years. The statistical data of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia on the number of registered corruption-related crimes for 2015–2024 are presented. The legal basis acting as a methodological basis for combating corruption has been determined. Gaps and conflicts in the field of combating various forms of corrupt behavior are considered. The scientific hypothesis is expressed that the main vector of development of the potential of criminal policy in the field of the conducted research should be the development and consolidation of the concept of corruption at the federal level.
