LEGAL CONSEQUENCES OF THE COMMISSION OF ACTS OF SELF-MUTILATION BY PERSONS SENTENCED TO FORCED LABOR

Abstract (English):
The article examines the specifics of the goals and forms of committing acts of self-mutilation by convicts. The author analyzes some of the legal consequences of such acts, namely: bringing to disciplinary responsibility; compensation for material damage caused; failure to complete the period of temporary disability of the convicted person caused by intentional harm to his health; refusal to realize a legitimate interest in exemption from punishment due to illness. As a result, the expediency of fixing in legislation the specified legal consequences in relation to those sentenced to forced labor is determined.
